We have more great encouragement from a great leader and shepherd as we learn more from John this Sunday. In 1 John 3:19-24, he gives a great strategy to deal with discouraged hearts - especially those that have come about through a serious measure of self-doubt. There are a lot of reasons why these struggles occur - but even better reasons for us to replace those doubts with confidence! See you Sunday! Pastor Paul

Hi Crossroads! This week we are investigating love and hate in 1 John 3:11-18. John illustrates each very well. The consequences of each are clear. It is sad to even have to ask the question, but which one most influences our lives? We'll examine the important issue - as we seek to have our lives characterized by loving one another. See you Sunday! Pastor Paul
How are you doing with your 30-day Jesus challenge? I hope you are finding much peace as you consider him in your contemplation of Colossians 1:13-20. 13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19 For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

It is day #1 of the 30 day Jesus-Challenge. Hi Crossroads! Fake news!! We hear about it all the time. It is discouraging, dangerous, and can even be deadly. Fake gospel is even worse - because the ramifications are personal and eternal. It is up to the receiver to figure out what is true or false - but how? It is the focus of our passage this week in 1 John 2:18-29. Please come and soak in the answer which revolves around the fantastic truth that Jesus IS the Christ! See you Sunday! Pastor Paul
Happy Mother's Day to all our wonderful gals at Crossroads. It is all about affirming a Mother's Heart today - for all of you, no matter what situation you are in. Hope to see you soon - this day is for you as we honor Jesus as always.

Hi Crossroads! This Sunday we are continuing with our application of John's communication to the friends rocked by their discouraging opposition. In 1 John 2:15-17 John warns against being drawn to prideful, worldly attractions and instead encourages us to embrace what really matters - seeking to do the will of the Father while experiencing his love. God continues to do amazing things at Crossroads - I hope you are seeing them. If not - please give me a call or email - I would love to share a few thing with you. See you Sunday! Pastor Paul
Invitation To Invest In Young Lives! I have a special request that is really important to our mission and ministry at Crossroads that I hope you will seriously consider. As I have communicated - reaching the youngest generations is a top priority at Crossroads. We have a fantastic group of volunteers leading in ministry to our kids which is exceptional at all levels. However, we need more of you to be involved. So, I simply wanted to share the need and invite you to participate in these life transforming ministries to kids. We are especially in need of volunteers to assist with the nursery and preschool age groups and ask that you would consider serving during one of our services once or twice a month. This is a great opportunity for adults of any age to serve. I know you will be thrilled by your time with the kids and you will be making a difference in their lives that will last forever! Thank you so much for considering and allowing Jesus to work through you in this important way! Please contact Elizabeth Rivard or call 231-734-1100 or email [email protected] if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. Pastor Paul

Hi Crossroads Family, I hope you all enjoyed your celebration of Easter. I sure loved what happened here at Crossroads on Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday with the wonderful presentations of how God's grace through Jesus makes such an incredible difference in our lives. This week we resume our time in our new "The Word on Life” series. We will be in 1 John 2:3-14 Sunday and will be looking at "how to know that we know” Jesus. It is important for our own spiritual confidence - and it is important as we consider the leaders we follow or those we are influenced by in life. It is important discernment teaching. Looking forward to seeing you Sunday! Pastor Paul
